This single-disc version of the larger four-disc Ultimate Sinatra box set distills Old Blue Eyes' legacy down to 25 essential, career-spanning tracks. Beginning with the early hit "All or Nothing at All" and spanning his years with Columbia, Capitol, and Reprise Records, Ultimate Sinatra features signature tracks like "I've Got the World on a String," "One for My Baby (And One More for the Road)," "The Way You Look Tonight," and "Theme from New York, New York." One of the most important artists of the 20th century, there are obviously heaps of excellent Frank Sinatra songs that didn't make the cut here, but as far as single-volume compilations go, you could do a lot worse than this one, especially as it contains material from each of his major periods.
